Day 3: Salvation for the Lost

Isaiah 52:10 (NKJV) The LORD has made bare His holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.

The word shall is a crucial distinction here in Isaiah. It doesn't say may or might, which leaves some room for uncertainty--shall carries the weight of certainty and finality with it. Many of our laws are written with the same verbiage, showing that the law must be applied if all conditions are met. What Isaiah means here is that every land and every part of the earth shall see God's salvation. But "how shall they hear without a preacher?" (Romans 10:14b (NKJV)) We are the mouthpieces of God's salvation, endowed with the responsibility to carry His Gospel to the furthest reaches of the planet. It's rather simple to know how to start, too!

Do you know someone, or of someone, who doesn't know Jesus as Savior? Chances are you do; it might be a coworker, a friend, a neighbor, or a family member. The fact is that almost every born-again believer knows at least one person who isn't saved. Why, then, do you think that God has placed you in their life? Is it to share the Gospel with them or to let your light shine before them so they'll want to know your God? Today, take time out to pray for someone you know who is not saved. Ask God to show you exactly how to witness to this person (or people). God desires for everyone to be saved, not just a select few!

Prayer Starter

Father, I thank You for entrusting me with the duty of sharing Your message of faith, hope, and love with (<person you're praying for>). I pray for him/her and the lost of the world today, and that everyone You would see in Your kingdom from every place on earth would be saved. I believe You can use me and my fellow disciples to reach thousands to share the Gospel and show them the way to You. Lord, give us a harvest in these last days in Jesus' name. Amen!
